Anglesea SLSC - New lifesaving facility
100 Great Ocean Road, Anglesea, 3230
In the 2016-17 State Budget, the Victorian Government allocated $1.5 million for the construction of the new Anglesea Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) facility.
Situated in the local government area of Surf Coast Shire, the Anglesea SLSC plays an important role in the safety of swimmers and beachgoers, and the new clubhouse will ensure lifesavers have the facilities they need to respond to incidents and keep people safe in the water.
This new fit-for-purpose facility will reflect the commitment and dedication of club volunteers to the local community and enable an expansion of local services, while supporting the retention and recruitment of new volunteers.
The new clubhouse will provide more accessible and appropriate first aid facilities and ambulance access, dedicated training areas, increased storage areas and greater opportunities for use by the wider community and corporate organisations.
Anglesea SLSC has undertaken considerable consultation with club members, as well as the local council, affected parties and the local community, to ensure that the new facility meets the needs of a growing local community, now and into the future.Visit club website
