VICSES Cobram Unit - New unit

Cobram-Koonoomoo Road, Cobram, 3644

In the 2018-19 State Budget, the Victorian Government allocated $2.0 million for the acquisition of land for the VICSES Cobram Unit on Cobram-Koonoomoo Road, Cobram.

Situated in the local government area of Moira, the new site will enable the Cobram Unit to continue to respond effectively to rescues, flood and storm and serve the local community through assistance to Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and fire services throughout the state.

The Cobram Unit, which comprises 23 active members, responded to more than 50 requests for assistance in 2018-19.

The new fit-for-purpose facility will reflect the commitment and dedication of VICSES to the local community and enable an expansion of local services, while supporting the retention and recruitment of new volunteers.

In collaboration with the Emergency Services Infrastructure Authority, VICSES will undertake consultation with the VICSES Cobram Unit, as well as the local council, affected parties and the community (as required), to ensure that the new facility meets the needs of a growing community, now and into the future.
