Jan Juc SLSC - New lifesaving facility
Clubhouse Road, Jan Juc, 3228
In the 2017-18 State Budget, the Victorian Government allocated $2.0 million for the construction of the new Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) facility.
Situated in the local government area of Surf Coast Shire, the Jan Juc SLSC plays an important role in the safety of swimmers and beachgoers, and the new clubhouse ensures lifesavers have the facilities they need to respond to incidents and keep people safe in the water.
This new fit-for-purpose facility reflects the commitment and dedication of club volunteers to the local community and enable an expansion of local services, while supporting the retention and recruitment of new volunteers.
The new clubhouse allows the club to expand their training and education programs and also features community meeting spaces, a function room and a cafe open to the public.
Jan Juc SLSC has undertaken considerable consultation with the local council, affected parties and the local community, to ensure that the new facility meets the needs of a growing local community, now and into the future.
