Life Saving Victoria
Project rollout
* Includes current investments from Victorian Government and other contributors where applicable
Life Saving Victoria’s (LSV) mission is to prevent aquatic related death and injury in all Victorian communities, with a vision that all Victorians learn water safety, resuscitation and how to swim, and be provided with safe aquatic environments and venues.
Established in 2002, through the merger of Surf Life Saving Victoria and the Royal Surf Life Saving Society Australia Victoria Branch, LSV has 32,000 volunteer members.
Through considered planning and engagement with key stakeholders, and with the support of local government and coastal
managers, improved lifesaving facility design and functionality will lead to a reduction in the risk of drowning, as well as increased
community engagement and greater inclusiveness.
It will also provide a facility that stands the test of time aesthetically, structurally and environmentally.
Lifesaving Facility of the Future provides a guide to redevelopment and facility design for lifesaving facilities, which aim to ensure a sustainable and vibrant lifesaving club and active and engaged membership now and for the future.
ESIA oversees, guides and supports the delivery of LSV built infrastructure projects throughout Victoria, to ensure they are on-time and on-budget.
